At the beginning of the Advent, as I delved once more into A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, a single line seemed to whisper directly to my soul: “I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”
These words stirred something profound within me, a reminder of the light and warmth that the Christmas season kindles, a light I wish to carry with me far beyond December. For me, the period from late November to Epiphany is a time unlike any other: a sacred space of joy, creativity, and endless inspiration. It is during these fleeting weeks that my heart is most alive, my spirit most attuned to the magic that surrounds us.
Epiphany, the day when Christmas celebrations traditionally conclude in Italy, feels less like an ending and more like a threshold. It is the perfect moment to reflect on the beauty of the season and to make a vow to carry its essence forward. From this reflection, The 12 Months of Christmas was born.
